Bolt-On Body Parts: Front Fenders The front fenders were in fairly good shape. I had to remove the usual amount of undercoating and some 1/4 inch rod someone had brazed into the fender rolls for support. Repairs There were a couple of tears on the edges that required patching. To make the patch, I cut out the torn piece, made a patch piece from 20 gauge AKS, tacked it in and then welded it solid. I also replaced the weld nuts that are used to attach the headlight buckets.

| After the fenders were stripped and patched, they were cleaned with DX 579 and DX 520 and then primed with DP 40. | |||
